Hong Kong Lighting Fair – Introduction

Since its launch in 1999, the Hong Kong Lighting Fair has become Asia’s largest industry exhibition. The conference commissioned an independent survey agency to interview nearly 770 exhibitors and buyers during the two lighting fairs. According to the survey, the industry is optimistic about the prospects. More than 67% of the respondents expect the overall sales of industry products to maintain growth in the next two years, 32% estimate that sales will remain unchanged, and only 1% of the respondents estimate that sales will fall. In traditional markets, they are mainly optimistic about Australia (67%); while in emerging markets, the industry is mainly optimistic about Latin America (71%), Eastern Europe (68%), the Middle East (66%) and ASEAN countries (65%).

The Hong Kong Lighting Fair added an “interconnected lighting” exhibition area this year, showcasing more than 20 well-known companies and brands. Extra Lighting Manufacturing Ltd displayed high-quality commercial and home lighting products on site. The company’s general manager, Lisa Deng, said: “We have participated in the Autumn Lighting Fair for more than 20 years, and about 15% of our customers are met here. At this year’s exhibition, we have established connections with new buyers from Europe, the Middle East, North America and Southeast Asia, and it is expected to bring the company $3 million in sales.”
